Walk for Warmth funds touch people....
2020 is the Human Development Commission's 30th Annual Walk for Warmth event. In the past, many of the people served through Walk for Warmth funds have been struggling on fixed incomes and/or are ineligible for other types of assistance.

A Senior in need
A senior was in medical rehabilitation, had many medical bills and was afraid if the electricity was shut off, the pipes would freeze and break.
Furnace Woes
A family in need of a furnace. Dad lost his job due to ongoing health issues so the family is now a one income household.
With the loss of dad’s income plus the travel for medical expenses, the family was left unable to repair their furnace. Leaving a family with two small children with no heat in the home.

Veteran in Need
A disabled Veteran, who was waiting for his social security disability to be approved.
Medical Emergency
A single mom who lost her job and her teenage son broke his neck skateboarding and had to have several surgeries, which left her with no money for her electric bill.
